Overall, disappointed in Pure Moving’s services and I would not use again. I had a cross-country move from Seattle to New York, a route specifically listed on their website, so I thought this was something they have done before and could handle. Organization, communication, and execution with Pure Moving fell short on all three. Jim was my main point-of-contact and lacked a lot in his customer communication from returning voicemails asking me “What’s up” even though I said as such in the voicemail, to dishonest responses to questions, and a lack of communication while my belongings were in transit.

I paid for a direct move and he assured me multiple times that if something happens to the truck while traveling I would be notified immediately. However, on the day of arrival, I immediately noticed it was a different truck and the driver told me he had broken down early in the trip due to a check engine light and had to change trucks. The driver was also the main crew mover in Seattle - Eddie.

For loading day, I was the first move of the day from 8-10am, and he showed up right at 10am, but his other 2 movers did not arrive until 10:30-10:45. It then took them over 7 hours to move a fully packed 3-bedroom apartment. All they had to do was load the boxes, wrap the furniture, and disassemble 1 bed. I have moved multiple times and it has NEVER taken this much time. It was exhausting. They ran off out of plastic wrap and, luckily, I had a roll from items I wrapped myself. They decided to go ahead to take what was left with them. They also did not put any floor covers down. Then, at nearly 6pm, Eddie apparently had not had enough time to complete the inventory and paperwork I have to sign and wanted to come back between 8-9pm… to the hotel I was staying for the night. He also was not going to put locks on the truck (what?!) until I insisted and then he only had 1 of the 2 needed. A significant lack of professionalism. He had not texted me by 8:30pm, so I had to reach out to him and he finally arrived after 9:30pm. After a long day, with several long days beforehand preparing, I had to stay up til 10pm (having been up since 6am in case they arrived at 8am) because of their lack of organization. Eddie was supposed to email me a copy - never did. Good thing I took photos. I mentioned this to Jim - zero acknowledgement, so I guess that’s standard practice for them.

For the unload, I was told multiple times by Jim that I would be get a call or text at least 24 hours in advance to know their arrival window, but I didn’t. I had to call well past the 24 hours mark and insist on a timeframe. Jim had said he emailed me a bit earlier, but all that email had was the link to pay them. So disorganized and so disrespectful to imply that email had anything to do with why I was calling. Upon arrival in New York, it was an insane heat wave with the temperature hitting over 100. I let Jim know this a couple days in advance to notify the crew hoping to encouraging the unloading to start earlier, but it didn’t. The unload started at 10am and took around 4 hours. The 2 hired, local crew movers were great. Eddie was still just so slow and really struggled in reassembling the bed, despite having the instructions. And then he very knowingly and obviously just gave up and did not do it correctly and said nothing, so I had to fix it after he left. If the drawers do not open, it’s pretty obvious it’s wrong. Many, many boxes arrived very smushed and damaged, but shockingly - or not shockingly since I packed them myself - very little damage to only a couple packed items. My couch did have damage that had to be repaired by a professional service.

At no point during or after the move did Pure Moving reach out to see how things were going/went. Hiring a moving company should be a lot more than just getting items from Point A to Point B. It should help remove stress and take some of the exhaustive to-dos off your list, but Pure Moving did neither.

Great experience with this company and the crew that moved me! They arrived when scheduled, were efficient and organized. I was loaded and unloaded without any issues all during a severe thunderstorm! Value for money, responsive, careful with belongings and friendly. It shows this company values its customers! Highly recommend!

Rasul and Dastan were on time, efficient and extremely polite. They packed everything with care and placed everything in the room of my choice with little direction. Will definitely use them again. Great price and excellent service.

Alex and Toxa from Pure Movers were absolutely incredible! From start to finish, they were professional, efficient, and so kind. Moving can be stressful, but they made the entire experience feel smooth and manageable.

They handled everything with great care and worked quickly without ever cutting corners. You can tell they truly take pride in what they do. We genuinely could not have done this move without them. They seamlessly followed our lead with parking logistics and navigating the elevators at both buildings—no issues, no complaints, just total professionalism.

Booking was also incredibly easy—a quick phone call just days before our move. Everything was clearly explained upfront, including the hourly rate, 3-hour minimum, and flat truck fee. The truck was enormous (more than enough space for our 700 sq ft apartment!), and there were no hidden fees or surprise charges, they offered free wardrobe boxes (making the closet move seamless & less work), free wrapping / padding materials—unlike other moving services we’ve used in Washington.

If you’re looking for reliable, hardworking movers who truly go above and beyond, I can’t recommend Pure Movers enough. We’ll absolutely be using them again for our next move. Highly recommend!

Tim and Sasha gave me timely updates on their arrival and were courteous and professional throughout the entire moving process. I love that they provided several wardrobe boxes which made my job of packing less stressful. They took care of shrink wrapping the tv and the furniture and wrapping them in blankets. The rain, and distance from the truck to the new place was an impediment but they worked hard for 7.5 hours and I’m so appreciative. They placed the furniture where I wanted it in each room and quickly disassembled and reassembled my bed. I’m impressed! They only charge you from the time they arrive to your place to the time you sign the papers, which is awesome. I would definitely recommend Pure Moving Company to anyone looking to move in Seattle.
