Redondo Beach Movers
Affordable moving & storage services
Welcome to Pure moving company!
Friendly Redondo Beach Movers, From King Harbor to Riviera Village
Redondo Beach packs a lot into one beach city. There is King Harbor and the Pier on the waterfront, Riviera Village at the south end, and the neighborhoods around Artesia Boulevard in North Redondo Beach. Pure Moving Company handles local moving across all of it, in both the 90277 and 90278 ZIP codes.
One thing to know before you book any mover: the City of Redondo Beach does not issue temporary No Parking permits for moving trucks, so a smooth move here starts with a parking plan. We talk it through with you up front, and then our friendly pro movers arrive ready to work.
We wrap your furniture and valuables individually, and we care about your last day in the old place as much as your first day in the new one. Pure Moving is fully licensed and insured, with no hidden fees. Finally a moving company that gets it!
If you’re leaving Redondo Beach and have your own vehicle to pack up, we’re available for labor only help, as well. We’ll be there with boxes, padding, packing tape and expertise to get you packed up lightning fast. If Redondo Beach is your new home, we help you unpack and make settling in a much more enjoyable experience than calling friends for an unpacking pizza party. Not that we wouldn’t welcome pizza!
Moving in Redondo Beach: What to Plan For
Parking the Moving Truck
The City’s Parking Enforcement page says the City “does not provide temporary ‘No Parking’ or issue permits for moving or game trucks.” Nobody can reserve the curb for you, so it helps to free up your driveway, or to have a car holding a legal spot in front of your home that you can pull out when we arrive. Tell us about your street when you book and we will plan around it.
Using a portable storage container? The same page says the Engineering Department issues permits for moving PODs placed on the street, and that unattached trailers may not be parked for more than 2 hours.
Street Sweeping Days
Athens Services sweeps City streets Monday through Friday, and your side of the street has its own sweeping day. Look at the City’s street sweeping page and interactive map before you choose a moving date. A helpful detail: since September 3, 2024, you may park again once both the sweeper and Parking Enforcement have passed through.
Permit Parking and Oversized Vehicles
Some streets and blocks are preferential parking areas designated by City Council resolution. If your new home is in one, the City’s page lists what to upload for a permit, including a rental or lease agreement as proof of residency for new residents. In the Riviera Village area, parking meters have a 4-hour limit.
Keeping a rental truck or trailer overnight? The City’s oversized vehicle rules cover any vehicle 22 feet or longer, or at least 8 feet high and 7 feet wide. Oversized vehicles may not park on City streets or in City parking lots between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. unless the Municipal Code allows it. Rules change, so give these City pages a quick look before moving day.

How Much Do Redondo Beach Movers Cost?
We charge by the hour, and you only pay for the time we work. The hourly rate includes blankets and moving pads, wardrobe boxes, shrink wrap and tape, dollies, tools and straps, loading and unloading, assembly and reassembly, packing and unpacking, tax and basic insurance. There is no additional fee for stairs, narrow hallways or long walking distance. Check our rates page or call 800-816-5121 for a free quote.
Do I Need A Parking Permit For A Moving Truck In Redondo Beach?
No, and there is not one to get. The City of Redondo Beach says it does not provide temporary No Parking or issue permits for moving trucks. Plan on a driveway or an open, legal spot at the curb, and check your street sweeping day first. A storage container on the street is different: the Engineering Department issues permits for moving PODs.
Which Redondo Beach ZIP Codes Do You Serve?
Both of them. USPS lists 90277 and 90278 for Redondo Beach, and we move in each, from Riviera Village and the Pier area to North Redondo Beach around Artesia Boulevard. Staying close by or leaving town, the same friendly pro movers look after your move from the first box to the last.
Are Your Redondo Beach Movers Licensed And Insured?
Yes. Pure Moving is a fully licensed and insured company. Our California license number is MTR0191103, and basic insurance is part of our hourly rate. We also believe careful handling is the best protection, so our movers wrap furniture and valuables individually, from loading to unwrapping.
How Do I Get Rid Of Furniture Before My Redondo Beach Move?
Athens Services picks up bulky items and electronics free for residential accounts, up to four items per pickup, per week. Send your request at least two business days before your regular collection day, then set the items at the curb or next to your building’s dumpster. Everything you are keeping, we will move with care!
